【伝えたい記憶】第19回　戦争「避難中、家族と逸れた男の子（西田トシさんの話）」

線路の上で次男を発見（Discover second son on track）

青森空襲の時私は3歳でしたが、防空壕の中で干したウドンを食べさせられた記憶がありますよ。私が防空壕の中で「腹減った。」と泣かないように、母はそれを持って避難したそうですよ。先ずは子供の事を一番に考えたそうだよ。

私の夫は5歳で、6歳の年子の兄がいたそうですが、その兄が母親から離れないので、弟の方はお祖母ちゃんが育てたそうです。古川で大きく商売をしていましたので奉公人達もいたようですが、青森空襲の時もお祖母ちゃんと手を繋いで逃げたそうです。でも、外に出たらあまりにもの人混みで、だいぶ走ってからお祖母ちゃんから手を放してしまったそうです。家族も見当たらないし、どこをどう逃げたのか分からず泣いていると、知らないおじさんが手を引っ張って防空壕の中に入れてくれたそうです。でも防空壕の出入り口に近かったので凄く熱くて熱くて、大人になってもそれを思い出すそうですよ。

次の朝皆が防空壕から出たので自分も出たそうですが、景色が全く変わってしまっているので、どうしたら良いのか分からず、ともかく人に付いて歩こうと思い歩いていたら、母とお祖母ちゃんが見つけてくれたそうです。

その時の事を姑さんはこう話してくれました。「この子が見つかったのは、三内の方の線路の上だったのさ。多分恐怖の為に気の触れた人だと思うけど、あの暑い真夏に、丹前を羽織って、歌い踊りながら歩いている人がいて、見たらその後ろを歩いていたのがこの子だったのさ。子供ながらに良く我慢して頑張ったと思うよ。」と。

その夫も姑ももういないけど、今、三人いる孫が丁度その頃の自分達と同じ年でね。戦争は嫌だよね。（絵・聞き書き：張山喜隆/平成29年3月4日）

But, when going out, it seems that it was too much crowd and I let go of my grandmother very much after running. I did not see my family, and when I cried about where I ran away, I heard that an unknown man pulled his hand and put it in a shelter shelter. But it was so hot and hot that I was close to the entrance of the shelter shelter so that she seems to remember it even if I become an adult.

The next morning everybody got out of a shelter so I also got out, but the scenery has changed at all, so I do not know what to do, if anyone walking with me as if walking with a mother, My grandmother seems to find it.

My mother – in – law said that at that time. “This child was found on the railway track on Sannai.
